connection-oriented data collection architecture. The RS
8000 is best known for their ability to deliver services
over the full range of networks found in the metro,
including TDM, WDM, POS/SDH, ATM, cable (CMTS), and
Gigabit Ethernet, with near-term scheduled support for
10 Gigabit Ethernet and OC-48c Packet Ring Technology.
